v1.0: The That'll Do It Patch


We made it! 

8 days after publishing our just-about-working prototype for the Isolation Game Jam, this is the final version of the game.

It's far from perfect, but it's in a state where it seems to work, nothing's obviously broken, and the art will does the job. We're pretty proud of the project, and ready to move on to something else.

We made Remnants alongside while I (Isaac) was in the middle of a pretty basic guide to using Unity and C# which I'm still going through. Unity made their Create With Code course free during the Coronavirus outbreak, and I've been going through it slowly but surely. It was really cool to be able to apply what I've learnt so far into a more personalised project, and Jonathan helped push me in the right direction whenever I started coding up the wrong tree.

Remnants is pretty light on mechanics and is mostly about walking around and finding out a story, so for the next game we want to invert that balance. Keep an eye out for our next project!
